Buikema Family Scholarship

Darryl Buikema and Tim Buikema established this scholarship as a way to give back to the college that provided them with the education, guidance, and spiritual foundation which led to the success they have enjoyed in their careers. This scholarship will have a direct impact on a student who needs financial support to study at Calvin and will get them off to a solid start at an excellent institution, as both Darryl and Tim obtained significant scholarships from other generous donors while students at Calvin.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher
• from the Chicago, Illinois area
• financial need is required

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable for the sophomore year if the recipient maintains a 2.75 GPA or higher. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
