Jerrian (M.D.) and Anna (Terpstra) Van Dellen Geology Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Mr. Kenneth J. and Mrs. Pearl Van Dellen in honor of Ken’s parents, who introduced him to the Creator and the creation. Ken [BA, biology, Calvin 1958] began taking geology courses in 1962 and taught geology at Macomb Community College 1965-1999.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
• majoring in geology or environmental geology
• financial need as defined by government programs is required
• candidates will also be assessed on the basis of academic potential, leadership ability and Christian character

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the student continues to meet the eligibility requirements. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
