Vander Lugt Family Scholarship

In gratitude to God for His many blessings in their lives and as life-time supporters of Christian education, Tom and Laura Vander Lugt (both ’78) established this scholarship to assist Calvin University education, nursing, pre-med or pre-physical therapy students. This scholarship honors their children, Mark, Alyssa, Joel, and Alli, each of whom graduated from Calvin. The Vander Lugts are grateful for Calvin’s Named Scholarship Program which financially assisted their children while at Calvin and now wish to assist current Calvin students who are pursuing a Christian higher education.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
• pursuing an education or nursing major or a pre-med or pre-physical therapy program
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
