Nicki Hermance Memorial Scholarship

Nicki Hermance – sister, daughter, wife, mom – leaves an enormous nursing legacy as she celebrated many years of bedside nursing. She would know exactly the right way of building up others at work and being able to teach as she poured into the lives of the many nurses and techs that she had worked with over the years. An exceptional career in nursing fit Nicki’s giving and self-sacrificial personality perfectly. She dedicated her life to making sure all her patients received the best care possible. Nicki started her nursing journey at Calvin (BSN, 2002), and this scholarship was established in her honor to help build up other nurses to carry on a career of making sure all patients receive the best care possible.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• majoring in nursing
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
