Bolker Capital Financial Planning Scholarship

The Bolker Capital Financial Planning Scholarship is for students entering the financial planning program at Calvin University. The industry needs holistic planners that have a heart of service, placing the needs and goals of others ahead of their own. Financial planning is coaching individuals, businesses, and non-profits on how to be in control over their finances at the same time as being good stewards of the gifts God has given. Kimberly Schaver Bolker ’03 started working in the financial planning industry as a student at Calvin and became a CFP® professional in 2009. The opportunities that Kim experienced at Calvin paved the way to pursue a career in financial planning and ultimately start her own firm. Bolker Capital is proud to support the next generation of financial planners that desire to intertwine faith and finances together.

Basic criteria

• entering junior or senior year
• cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
• pursuing a financial planning major
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
