Patricia Dykstra Scholarship

Patricia Dykstra taught in a Christian school for 35 years and has been involved with various levels of Christian education her entire life. She supports Christian education from a Reformed perspective, and for that reason, wishes to support Calvin University. Because of this commitment to train educators to understand how to teach Biblically, Pat offers this scholarship specifically for students who will go on to pursue a degree in education.

Basic criteria:

• entering sophomore, junior, or senior year
• pursuing an education major
• graduate of Denver Christian School. If there are no Denver Christian graduates, then recipient can be a student from Colorado.
• financial need is considered
• if there are no students from Denver Christian or Colorado who meet the requirements, then any student who has graduated from a Christian school may be considered.

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the student continues to meet the criteria. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
