Hobbs Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Brenda and Eric Hobbs, both of whom are passionate lovers of Calvin. In establishing this scholarship, they wish that the lives of other young people who might not otherwise be able to afford Calvin will be changed, as Eric’s was, by their becoming a part of the Calvin community. May the Kingdom and the Lord be blessed by all those to whom this scholarship is awarded, and may each recipient come to know God, to love Him and to follow His call as those at Calvin who taught and mentored Eric knew, loved and followed Him.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
• financial need as defined by government programs is required

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the recipient is making satisfactory academic progress and demonstrates financial need (sophomore year only). Renewal is subject to funding availability.
