Jay and Kathleen Morren Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Jay and Kathleen Morren to recognize the excellent Christian education their family received at both South Christian High School and Calvin College. As God has blessed them, they wish to have a part in giving students from South Christian the opportunity to attend Calvin. The Morrens see South Christian and Calvin as partners in developing young minds and hearts for Christian service.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
• graduate of South Christian High School in Byron Center, MI
• demonstrate Christian character, promise of growth, and participation and leadership outside the classroom such as church, community, and extracurricular school activities other than athletics
• financial need is required

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the student maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (sophomore year only). Renewal is subject to funding availability.
