Dr. Paul and Mrs. Tami VanVeldhuisen Nursing Scholarship

Dr. Paul and Mrs. Tami VanVeldhuisen established this scholarship to support a student who feels Christ’s calling to use her or his gifts to serve others in the nursing profession. Mrs. Tami VanVeldhuisen has spent her career working as a nurse through teaching as well as in the hospital and public health settings. Both Tami and her husband Paul, as well as several family members, attended Calvin University and value the education they received, and are passionate about its mission and want to support the nursing education program and its students through this scholarship.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• majoring in nursing
• financial need as defined by government programs is not required

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
