Joel David Koning Memorial Scholarship

The family of Joel David Koning established this scholarship in loving memory of their son and brother, who died on August 6, 2010, a few weeks before starting his freshman year at Calvin. Joel was interested in science, math, history and music and planned to study engineering.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher
• financial need as defined by government programs is required

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable with a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher (sophomore year only). Renewal is subject to funding availability.
