Faye DeMeester Ysseldyke Nursing Scholarship

Faye DeMeester Ysseldyke attended Calvin College in the mid 1960’s and completed the RN in nursing at Blodgett Hospital in 1966. She and her husband, Dr. Jim Ysseldyke have a strong commitment to Christian education from a reformed perspective. A tradition of Christian education learned from their parents and from attending Christian schools was passed on to their daughters Amy and Heather, both of whom graduated from Calvin University. This scholarship is in honor of Faye DeMeester Ysseldyke, their daughter Heather Koetsier and grandson Ryan VanOrman, all graduates of the Calvin nursing program.

Basic criteria:

  • entering junior or senior year
  • cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
  • majoring in nursing
  • US citizen and committed to working in the United States
  • financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable for one year if the student continues to make satisfactory academic progress. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
