Jeremiah 29:11 Scholarship
Steven and Kelly Van Singel have two daughters who are both living with autism. Their family has benefited from the talents and gifts of college graduates who have degrees in programs such as special education and speech language pathology. This scholarship is for future teachers and therapists who will go on to help children living with autism and/or other special needs and disabilities.
Basic criteria:
- entering senior year
- majoring in a special education program or speech pathology & audiology
- show passion, interest, intent and desire to work in a post-graduation field that will benefit persons living with autism and/or other related special needs and disabilities
- preference will be given to students who have volunteered in helping persons with autism, and students who have an interest in using and applying assistive technologies for persons with autism such as augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
- financial need is considered
Renewal criteria: This scholarship is not renewable.
