Howard Hughes Medical Institute Scholarship
This scholarship was established to provide tuition assistance to students who plan to major in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, or mathematics and plan to pursue a career in research or post-secondary education.
Basic criteria:
- entering freshman year
- cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
- have a B or higher on high school science classes
- planning to major in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics or mathematics
- planning to pursue a career in biomedical research and/or post-secondary education in biology or one of the related disciplines of chemistry, biochemistry, physics or mathematics
- financial need is not required
Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable with adequate academic progress toward career goals (three years only). Renewal is subject to funding availability.
