Waanders Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Doores and Grada Waanders who encouraged their seven children to attend Calvin College. They instilled a strong work ethic in their children, and they all worked to contribute to the cost of their education. This scholarship is to be awarded to a student who shares those values and work ethic and works part-time to meet their college expenses. The intent of this scholarship is to match their earnings from their work at a job, internship or volunteer service while a student at Calvin University.

Basic criteria:

• entering sophomore, junior or senior year
• demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to meet educational expenses through part-time employment, an internship or volunteer service
• financial need is required

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the student continues to meet the scholarship criteria. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
