Kooistra Family Scholarship

The Kooistra family has a rich heritage of attending Calvin College. Ron and Patsy Kooistra established this scholarship in appreciation for the broader liberal arts education and distinctly Christian approach that takes place at Calvin, especially in the fields of engineering and nursing. The Kooistras wish to help engineering and nursing students who are looking for a Christian college where they will be prepared to follow their calling.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• cumulative GPA of 2.70 or higher
• pursuing a degree in nursing or engineering, with first preference given to engineering students
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
