Don and Carol J. Holtrop Family Scholarship

As faithful advocates of Calvin University’s Christian liberal arts education and in the hope of advancing their lifelong mission of building strong, diverse communities, Don and Carol J. Holtrop established this multi-year scholarship. The scholarship is designed to encourage a broader range of students to attend Calvin and to increase access to Calvin in communities with fewer traditional ties to the university.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year (transfer students entering their sophomore year may also be considered)
• ethnic minority student with U.S. residency in a state other than Michigan
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the student continues to make satisfactory academic progress. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
