David and Angela Muilenberg Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established to honor David and Angela Muilenberg’s love for each other and for the financial planning industry where they met. Although graduating from Calvin in 1982, it was in his freshman year that David started his successful career in the financial industry. David needed an income to pay for his tuition at Calvin and found a way to do so by selling life insurance and investments. This would help pay his tuition and do so on his own time all while securing the lives of others. David and Angela want to encourage individuals to pursue a career in financial planning to help businesses, families and individuals obtain financial security and make their retirement dreams come true.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• finance major
• financial need is considered
• first preference will be given to a student pursuing a career in financial planning

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
