Kuipers Family Wind Ensemble Scholarship

Lawrence and Nancy Kuipers established this scholarship to encourage the non-music major to contribute his or her talents to the Calvin Band. All four of the Kuipers children played in the Calvin Band as non-music majors.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior year
• cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher
• pursuing a degree other than music
• member of Calvin’s wind ensemble
• continue to be a member of Calvin’s wind ensemble the year following the receipt of the award
• financial need is not required
• if the above criteria are met the recipient will exemplify: 1) strong Christian character and 2) a visible attitude of encouragement toward other students that contributes to the positive spirit of the wind ensemble

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the scholarship criteria continues to be met (senior year only). Renewal is subject to funding availability.
