Carol and James Lont Scholarship for the Research, Study and Renewal of Distinctively Reformed Youth Development

Carol and James Lont were nurtured in the institutions of the Reformed faith – homes, schools, and churches. It has been the desire of Carol and Jim that young people everywhere might know the personal joy and effectiveness in society of those marked by sturdy Reformed thinking and action. This scholarship is designed to assist in the understanding and renewal of a Biblically Reformed development of youth everywhere—so that they may become well-prepared servants of the Lord Jesus Christ, serving Him gratefully, always, and everywhere in His world.

Basic criteria:

  • entering junior year
  • cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher
  • demonstrate noble and Godly characteristics of integrity, faithfulness and love
  • plan to pursue a career of youth leadership in home, church or school
  • financial need is not required

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
