Jack and Johanna Kooy Van Manen Education Scholarship

Johanna Van Manen is from a family of Calvin graduates and Christian schoolteachers. Jo taught at Sylvan Christian School after graduating from Calvin. Also, two of Jack and Jo’s daughters are Calvin graduates who are presently teaching in Christian schools. The Van Manens are pleased to establish a scholarship to assist an education major who is committed to a teaching career.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• pursuing an education major
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
