George and Theresa Triezenberg Family Scholarship

George Triezenberg established this scholarship on the occasion of his 90th birthday out of gratitude to God for his loving family and as a lasting memorial to his wife of 66 years, Theresa, and his daughter Linda Triezenberg Postema, who both went to be with their Lord in 2008. George Triezenberg, with unfailing support from Theresa, served for 25 years as a teacher and administrator in the public schools of Chicago, daily allowing God to use him as a witness of His love through example and life testimony. This scholarship will support a committed Christian student at Calvin University who intends to follow in this path of teaching in the Chicago Public Schools and allowing God to witness through his or her daily classroom presence.
