D'Ippolito Family Social Work Scholarship

Renee D’Ippolito considers it a blessing to have studied in Calvin’s social work program and is thankful and grateful for her learning and growth while obtaining a BSW. At a young age through family and life experiences, Renee sensed the Lord calling her to help others find hope and healing in their lives and was drawn to the field of social work. Through the excellent instruction at Calvin and her life-changing volunteer experiences and internships while at Calvin, Renee felt properly equipped to work with individuals and families who needed change and hope for their lives. Renee and her husband Daren are humbled and excited to be a part of this social work scholarship that will encourage Calvin students to successfully obtain social work degrees so that they, too, can develop the skills and understanding needed to assist those in need and to help foster and further develop the strengths of God’s people.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• social work major
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
