Alvin and Hylda Tuuk Business Scholarship

Alvin and Hylda Tuuk’s early years were largely shaped by the Depression and World War II. Alvin and Hylda set tremendous examples to their children and others in their hard work,initiative and determination. They were possibility thinkers who could see beyond traditional boundaries and expectations. This scholarship was established by the family to honor Alvin and Hylda’s legacy and to encourage business students who demonstrate potential for leadership in a business career in God’s kingdom.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
• majoring in business
• demonstrate possibility thinking, initiative, work ethic and potential for leadership in a business career in God’s kingdom
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
