Grace Gunn Scholarship

Grace Gunn devoted many years to public school teaching and helping students with reading disabilities through a nonprofit literacy organization called SLD READ she helped found in Grand Rapids. She also devoted many years to Bible Study Fellowship International giving young children an understanding of the Bible. She was a member of Central Reformed Church (Grand Rapids, MI) for 58 years. It is fitting to create a scholarship award in her honor to enable academically qualified students with a zeal to learn and serve their fellow human beings. Using God’s gifts to serve others is the noble work of life this scholarship seeks to promote. In addition to seeking qualities of honesty, kindness, love, and compassion candidates should demonstrate positive interpersonal and motivational skills.
