Theodore Rottman Scholarship in Social Justice

Theodore Rottman Scholarship in Social Justice

The Theodore A. Rottman Scholarship in Social Justice was established by Gordon and Cathy VanderBrug to honor their brother-in-law, Ted Rottman, who taught and directed social research at Calvin for 39 years. This scholarship recognizes his lifetime devotion to teaching and scholarship and his passion for social justice and reconciliation. The VanderBrug’s would like to recognize and encourage sociology majors who are dedicated to careers in social justice and recognize the crucial nature a Christian perspective can have on a broad range of social justice concerns such as anti-social behavior, medical issues and social class disparities
