Silas Cheuk

This scholarship honors the life of Helen Cheuk, a Calvin alum who loved the Lord with her whole heart. Helen Huang left her home in China and eventually began to study at Calvin College. After graduating in 1961, Helen began a 38 year career in education, teaching kindergarten first in Grand Rapids and then in Detroit. This scholarship is established by her husband Silas out of gratitude for Calvin College’s influence n the life of their family.
