Sam and Judy Van Til

This scholarship has been established by the Sam and Judy Van Til Family from Crown Point, Indiana in memory of Judy’s parents James and Pearl Koning. Jim and Peg lived through the Great Depression and World War II. They made many personal sacrifices so their children could have a Christian education which they valued. When their granddaughter Jana was born with Down Syndrome, they recognized the importance of providing quality education for people with special needs. This scholarship is designed to support students who are majoring in special education with the Christian focus that Calvin University provides.
