Robert and Harriet Hasper

This scholarship was established with a two-fold purpose in mind. First and foremost, it was established in gratitude to God for the academically excellent Christian education the Haspers and their family received at Calvin College. Secondly, it honors the growth and development of the Accounting program at Calvin from a two-semester course when Robert was at Calvin in the early 1950’s to a five-year Master’s degree in Accounting. The Hasper family is grateful to have been part of that growth over the last 60 years. Candidates are Calvin students who are pursuing a degree in accounting and who are working towards becoming a CPA. They must display a strong Christian commitment and an excellent potential for leadership.
