Phyllis Van Vugt-Bratt

Calvin College and the nursing profession represent deep joys and lasting commitments in Phyllis Van Vugt Bratt’s life. She has been delighted to see family members on the teaching staff of two departments (classics and history), and all of her children and grandchildren have attended and graduated from Calvin, taking with them an understanding of faith that encompasses all of life. Phyllis herself enjoyed a nursing career that spanned 36 years of professional service, and she is pleased with the strength and quality of Calvin’s nursing program. She hopes this scholarship will support students in Calvin’s nursing program and encourage them on their way.
