Paul and Doris Dirkse

Dr. Paul and Mrs. Doris Dirkse of East Peoria, Illinois, have provided the College with gifts to be used for scholarships. Because of Dr. Dirkse’s involvement with the medical profession, the Dirkse’s have requested that the funds be used for students interested in health care professions. Dirkse Health Care Scholarships are one-year scholarships awarded to perspective juniors and seniors at Calvin who are among the top students in the health professions programs. Primary factors in the selection are the student’s academic record, Christian character, motivation, and potential for service in a health related career.
