Leanne J. Knot Family

With the generous help of many friends, the family of Leanne Joy Knot, a 1991 graduate of Calvin, has established this scholarship in loving memory of their daughter and sister. Leanne’s life was tragically taken on February 14, 1997, while she was a graduate student in social work and public health at Tulane University. Recipients must be social work or sociology majors entering their junior or senior year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. In addition, recipients must demonstrate a deep love for Jesus Christ, as expressed by the Reformed faith. This includes a love for others as evidenced by a sincere desire 1) to help children, 2) to promote improved health care, education, or standards of living among the poor in the United States or other countries, or 3) to volunteer in the Peace Corps. Financial need will also be considered.
