Joseph Galema

Dr. Galema, a 1976 graduate of Calvin College, established this scholarship to the glory of God and in thanksgiving for the outstanding education, especially from the Music Department, which he received at Calvin. In the fall of 1976, he went to the University of Michigan where he completed requirements for the Master of Music in organ performance degree in 1978 and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in 1982. In September 1982, he joined the staff of the US Air Force Academy, where he is currently Cadet Chapel Music Director and Academy Organist. With gratitude for the influence of music in his life, Dr. Galema desires to encourage Calvin students who will use music to glorify God and enrich the lives of others.
