Herman and Ardis Keizer

In appreciation for what Calvin has done and continues to do in providing students with a solid Christian education, Herman and Ardis Keizer Jr. established this scholarship to assist students who require financial support to obtain a Christian college education. Ardis Keizer attended Calvin for one year as part of the Blodgett Nursing Program. She served as a nurse both in the United States and abroad. Herman Jr. served in the US Army for 40 years – 34 years as a chaplain and retired as a Colonel. He is a Calvin Distinguished Alumnus. They have a high regard for the education they received from Calvin and established this scholarship to provide opportunities for religion, philosophy and nursing majors to attend Calvin College.
