Henry and Edith De Witt

Christian education and service to school, church and community has always been important to Henry and Edith De Witt, and Henry spent most of his career as a Unity Christian High School teacher following graduation from Calvin College. After retirement, Henry served as volunteer chaplain at Sunset Manor and Village for eighteen years. Edith, who died of cancer in 2013, used her illness as an opportunity to witness to and encourage other patients in support groups and countless personal contacts. The
De Witts feel Calvin is an academically stimulating institution that provides a wonderful opportunity for students to be a part of a Christian community. This scholarship encourages post-high school Christian education at Calvin College for graduates of Unity Christian High School, Hudsonville, MI.
