Henry and Carol Kamp

This scholarship is established as a tribute to Calvin College Professor Emeritus John J. Timmerman and his wife, Mrs. Carolyn Hager Timmerman, both of whom had a profound impact on the lives of the donors, Mr. Henry and Mrs. Carol Kamp. Dr. Timmerman was a professor of English at Calvin from 1945 until his retirement in 1975 and was supported very ably by his wife, Carolyn, who often entertained students at their home during that time. The Kamp’s establish this scholarship out of gratitude for what the Timmerman’s have done for them and in recognition for what Dr. and Mrs. Timmerman have done for Calvin College and many of its students.
