George and Sibilla Boerigter

George and Sibilla Boerigter establish this scholarship for educations majors. Sibilla graduated from Calvin in 1957 with a degree in secondary education. She had a major in English and a minor in Physical Education. These degrees were her two passions and she not only taught in both fields of interest, but good writing, good reading and physical exercise and activity have been central to her enjoyment of life. This award will support and encourage a Calvin student who is pursuing a career as an education teacher. George and Sibilla believe teachers can make a difference in our society and good teachers do make a difference in people’s lives.
