Gelderloos Family Kinesiology Scholarship

Barb Gelderloos ’68 establishes this scholarship for Kinesiology majors because Calvin College prepares these students for many careers that have had an impact on her and her family. The Gelderloos family values physical activity as an integral part of living a full and balanced life and enjoys sports, hiking, and recreational travel. Even as Barb’s husband Mark ‘68 battled cancer, he continued to play golf through the support of a program for athletes with physical challenges. The family also recognizes the importance of well-trained coaches who motivate students to be strong and dedicated athletes and have appreciated the benefit of professionals in the field of physical therapy. As strong supporters of Calvin College, the Gelderloos family wants to encourage a student who will go on to motivate others to pursue a balanced life of health and wellness.
