Ecko and Patricia De Vries

Patricia Gabrielson De Vries and Ecko De Vries created this scholarship in memory of Donald Gabrielson who was a sophomore at Calvin College preparing for a career in medicine. That preparation sadly ended when he contracted a disease that ended his life in 1963. Patricia was his older sister who was also enrolled at Calvin with the intent of becoming a registered nurse. The Gabrielsons are from Cadillac, MI and wish to support a junior or senior in the Health Science field at Calvin University. Donald was the only son of Donald and Fenna Gabrielson, both of whom were very supportive of their son becoming a medical doctor. It would be their desire, along with Patricia and Ecko to assist students in the Health Science field towards their goal.
