De Kryger Monsman Family

In 1984, Mrs. Diana Monsman made a gift to Calvin College in memory of her husband, Gerald, a distinguished Calvin alumnus (class of 1926). Revenues generated from this gift are to be used to provide scholarships for political science majors. Mr. Gerald Monsman served in a variety of state and federal government offices. In addition, he contributed to our understanding of nation-states with his Essays of Sovereignty. His name is included in Who’s Who in America (Vol. 32, 1962-63) and in Who Was Who in America. Additional gifts were given by Maynard De Kryger to honor the memory of his wife, Lavina De Kryger.
