David and Gretchen Edgerly

Gretchen Vanderploeg Edgerly graduated from Calvin College in 1977 with a major in Psychology. She went on to obtain her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Her husband, David W. Edgerly, also earned his Ph.D. in psychology from the same institution.

The Edgerly’s maintain a strong commitment to Christian education and Calvin College. They also maintain a strong commitment to education about, prevention of, and treatment for child sexual abuse. Out of these commitments they established this scholarship for students training in the fields of psychology, sociology and social work.
