Bernard and Jane Pekelder

Jane and Bernard Pekelder have had a lengthy and loyal relationship with Calvin College. Jane graduated from Calvin in the field of education and Bernard has degrees from both Calvin College and Calvin Seminary. For many years he served as College Chaplain and later as Vice President for Student Affairs. All five of their children are Calvin alumni. The Pekelders have been life-long supporters of Christian education at many levels.

Jane and Bernard now wish to share their blessings with Calvin special education students who dedicate their lives to teaching children or young people with disabilities. Their hope is that scholarship recipients will help students discover the distinctive gifts they have been given by God.
