Barbara and Melvin VanderBrug

This scholarship has been established by Barbara and Mel VanderBrug of Detroit, Michigan. They wish to encourage Christian women to pursue education directed towards business careers and to consider opportunities in for-profit enterprises. In particular, they would like to expose women students to the potential benefits of becoming an entrepreneur, not only to create wealth, but also to provide solutions to society’s problems and simultaneously provide employment opportunities for others. The scholarship will recognize the community in which the VanderBrugs live and work by giving preference to students from Southeastern Michigan.
